More about this 影响 analysis and SCORE's commitment to 我们的 客户’ success: SCORE engaged a third-party firm (PricewaterhouseCoopers) to conduct research into the economic 影响 that SCORE's mentoring and education had on the U.S. economy in 2022. The firm conducted an online census survey of all SCORE 客户, of whom a total of 15,282 客户 responded.
SCORE calculated business starts and non-owner jobs created totals using straight line extrapolation from the total number of survey respondents that reported they used a SCORE service. This survey methodology is based on industry accepted procedures at the time of the survey.
At this time, SCORE is reviewing survey structure and analysis methodology to ensure it is in line with industry accepted standards and thoroughly reflects, captures and effectively communicates SCORE’s 影响. SCORE is proud to serve a diverse group of small business 客户 from across a wide array of backgrounds and industries. 我们的 commitment to inclusivity and accessibility allows us to reach new communities and provide valuable expertise and educational services to anyone looking to start or grow a business. Overall, SCORE's small business 客户 are overwhemingly positive about their experience, with 86% stating they would recommend SCORE to family and friends. That's critical, because when entrepreneurs work with a mentor, they are three times more likely to stay in business. In fact, 90% of SCORE's 'in business' 客户 were still in business at the end of 2022, and 55% of those 客户 also reported an increase in revenue.

At SCORE, we believe anyone can successfully start a business with the right support. In fact, entrepreneurs who work with a mentor are five times more likely to start a business – and report higher revenues and increased business growth.
SCORE Boosts Small Business Support with Team Mentoring and LiveChat
SCORE continues to expand on its commitment to serving small business owners when and how they need support. In 2022, this meant enhancing 我们的 ability to foster team mentoring of 客户. Now SCORE mentors can more easily tap fellow mentors anywhere in the country to provide expertise that is applicable to their client’s needs. SCORE’s LiveChat feature on SCORE.org also means that small business owners can chat live with a SCORE mentor when they have questions or need guidance to access mentoring or res我们的ces.
Empowering Diversity in Entrepreneurship: SCORE for ALL
Recognizing that diverse backgrounds, different voices and unique needs may call for specialized res我们的ces or a personalized approach to mentoring, SCORE for ALL offers customized res我们的ces and content specific to entrepreneurs facing unique challenges. Developed in 2021 with hubs for women, Black, Hispanic and veteran entrepreneurs, new hubs were added in 2022 to serve Asian American/Pacific Islander and rural entrepreneurs, with more to come. This wholly-inclusive online platform, together with culturally-sensitive mentoring, provides res我们的ces and training tailored to meet the needs of these diverse communities.
On Demand, Small Business Training and Community Engagement
SCORE’s user-friendly website offers 24/7 access to training and educational materials for any entrepreneur, at any stage of business. More than five million visitors to SCORE.org in 2022 were able to tap 我们的 extensive library of recorded webinars, online educational c我们的ses, and critical res我们的ces -- where and when they needed it. SCORE.org visitors can also browse mentor profiles, learn more about how mentoring works, request a mentor or even become a SCORE volunteer. For those looking for community, SCORE’s social media platforms have nearly 350K followers across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. These online communities offer daily opportunities to engage with SCORE’s small business experts and fellow entrepreneurs, while getting the latest news, links to upcoming events, inspirational 成功的故事 and more.

With a focus on "no client left behind," the chapter's 80+ volunteers dedicated themselves to assisting local entrepreneurs in all aspects of starting and running a small business. In doing so, they enriched their community by helping to start 394 new businesses and create 676 new jobs in one year.
